GUIDELINE on how to USE the SMS and track your DHL Package |
||
On 15th June 2000, DHL launched the world's first global tracking service to allow customers track their DHL shipments via text message wherever they can using a GSM mobile phone. The SMS service is one of the latest in a series of service technology developments helping customers to access up-to-the-minute shipment information when and where they need it most. PROCEDURE: Customers simply key in their Airway bill Number as a text message into their mobile phone and send it to the DHL SMS Tracking phone number: (+44) 7720 33 44 55. The latest status information is then set directly back to the phone in as little as 10 seconds. SMS Tracking, provided free, save for the original cost of the customers with the convenience of being able to track the progress of their package even when they are away from a PC or fixed line. By using a single number for global access to the service, customers need only enter one number into their telephone memory to be able to track a package from anywhere in the world where they can access a mobile signal. SMS (SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE) is cost effective and convenient way of sending brief information between mobile phones. It is the most widely used form of wireless technology after voice and is supported by both the worldwide GSM Mobile Network and the networks deployed in the USA. For further details or difficulty tracking your package via SMS, be free to contact DHL SL Helpdesk or the Sales & Marketing Coordinator. We will contact you or send your feedback in minutes.
